Learn jewellery enamelling basics

Description
Discover the art of enamelling in a friendly one day workshop led by tutor Sally Lees. Beginners learn how to prepare metal for enamel and explore core techniques, including applying enamel, firing and building colour. You will also try simple surface decoration and texturing methods such as hammer texture, using a rolling mill and working with a pendant drill to texture and drill. Improvers can bring ideas and develop personal projects with guidance. By the end you will understand key processes, feel confident using basic enamelling techniques and know how to work safely. Teaching includes one to one support, demonstrations and helpful handouts, with time to experiment and make your own enamelled jewellery pieces.
