You’ve learned the basics, but your photos still don’t look quite how you imagined? This one-day foundation course helps you bridge that gap turning what you already know into creative confidence and control. You’ll learn how to master the relationship between aperture, shutter speed, and ISO in any lighting condition, so you can stop relying on luck and start shaping each image deliberately. Your tutor will show you how lens choice affects perspective and depth, and how composition can transform a simple subject into a story. Throughout the day, you’ll combine short bursts of theory with plenty of hands-on practice. You’ll work indoors and outdoors, testing your settings in changing light, and get personal feedback that helps you understand why a shot works or doesn’t. Each exercise builds your ability to anticipate, adjust, and create images that feel intentional and expressive. You’ll also explore how to “read” your own photographs, learning to evaluate exposure, colour, and focus so you can improve independently long after the course.
