Learn black and white film development and darkroom printing by hand

Description
Step into the red glow of the darkroom and rediscover the art of analogue photography. This practical, one-day darkroom course is perfect for beginners who want to experience the full process from loading film to developing and printing their own black & white photographs.
In a fully equipped darkroom at Holborn Studios, you’ll learn to develop film, create contact sheets, and print your images using an enlarger. You’ll experiment with exposure, light, and composition, and watch your photographs come to life in the developing tray. An experience no digital workflow can replace.
All materials, paper, and chemicals are provided. You’re also welcome to bring your own exposed black & white negatives (35mm, 120, or 5x4) to process and print during the day. You’ll leave with your own finished prints and the satisfaction of mastering traditional darkroom skills. Taught by British fashion and portrait photographer Bill Ling, whose international career includes work for Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Omega.
Whether you’re new to film or returning for the tactile joy of the process, this analogue photography course offers an inspiring, hands-on introduction to darkroom printing.
