99active grew out of a simple observation: so much of what genuinely brings people joy never quite makes it into everyday life. Yet almost everyone carries an idea, a hobby, a passion – and the wish to share it with others.
It's not that there's a lack of options. But so much of it feels interchangeable – bookable, forgettable, gone. What gets lost along the way: closeness, personality and the feeling of actually being there.
We wanted to create a framework for experiences that would otherwise never have happened.
A drawing evening, yoga in the park, a cooking class, a jam session, a walk with a theme. Formats where you don't just book a spot, but truly take part – and meet people along the way.
Alongside that, we wanted to create space for people who want to put something together themselves. Because we believe most people have something they can share: an idea, a hobby, a skill, a small passion. Sometimes all that's missing is the right framework to make it real.
That's what we love about it: a single evening can spark a connection. An idea can grow into a small group. Time spent together can turn into the feeling of belonging somewhere.
We don't believe everything always needs to get bigger, louder or more polished. But we do believe that small, genuine formats often produce more than you'd expect.
We want to help more ideas find their way out of people's heads and into real life – and for people to create, offer, participate and connect.
99active is here to help turn an idea into a meetup.
A meetup into a good moment.
And good moments into something that lasts.
Behind 99active is a small team that genuinely loves these kinds of moments. We built the platform because we ourselves want real encounters beyond screens. Our vision is to lower the barriers between a good idea and an actual meetup – whether that's finally baking the perfect sourdough or developing analogue photos together. We want to encourage you to just go for it: try something new, share your passions and create experiences that feel alive and personal.
