We at 99active have met Franzi. We love how a good story at More Than Books doesn’t end on the last page, but carries on in Leipzig through book swaps, creative ideas and new connections.
Hi, I’m Franzi, founder of More Than Books ✨
Creating Worlds Beyond Pages
Maybe you know the feeling: you’re reading a book, completely lost in its world, and would love to talk to someone about it right away. About the characters you’ve grown to love. That one scene. Or an ending you need a little time to process.
To me, that’s what books are: stories that make us dream, feel with others and discover new worlds. And sometimes they’re the beginning of something that goes beyond the last page.
That’s how More Than Books began. A community for women who love books and want something more. New connections, creative experiences and shared moments to take home with you. 🤍
In Leipzig, I host Book Meetups, creative workshops, journaling sessions, Book Swaps and special bookish experiences. Sometimes we sit down over coffee and exchange our current reads. Other times, we get creative, put our own thoughts on paper or discover a story through a book swap that we might never have picked ourselves.
I love the idea that you come because of a book and leave with a new acquaintance. That “What are you reading?” turns into a conversation where the coffee goes cold without anyone noticing.
It’s not a traditional book club, but a place to Meet, Create, Discover & Experience. Books connect us, and from there we see what else we can discover together.
Maybe you’ve just moved to Leipzig and wish you had people to share your interests with. Maybe you’ve lived here longer and simply feel like meeting someone new. Or perhaps you keep seeing bookish events in your feed and think, “I’d love to join one of those.”
Then I’d love to meet you. Feel free to come on your own; meeting new people is part of it. Your love of books is already a great start. We’ll discover the rest together.
If nothing is published yet, maybe Franzi is still reading a book herself or testing a new format for you.
