Plenty of things make people happy for no reason other than they enjoy them. Nobody has to turn any of it into a “real” offering.

Sometimes it’s yoga. Sometimes it’s Spikeball in the park, or hunting for treasures at flea markets, or long conversations, or certain corners of the city—or just the way someone likes to spend a Saturday. That’s the sweet spot for us. You don’t have to listen long before it’s obvious there’s more there than a casual hobby.

With Hidden Talents, we want to meet people as people—not as a profile, not as a polished surface, but the way you get to know someone when you’re genuinely curious. We care what they love doing, what comes naturally, what lights them up when they talk, and the strengths they’ve been carrying around without ever calling them special.

For us, the good stuff doesn’t only start once a listing is live or a format has a brand name. It usually starts earlier: in a chat, in a throwaway comment, in how someone tells a story until you think, hold on—other people would want in on that. Something that could connect people. Maybe even something that turns into a real moment down the road.

That’s what Hidden Talents is about: making visible what moves people, what they keep coming back to, and what probably deserves a lot more room than it’s had so far.

The first conversation in the series does exactly that—in a light, unforced way. It’s about Leipzig, slow weekends, yoga, Spikeball, flea markets, and a question that keeps coming up: why some things have been around forever but never quite turned into something people do together. That’s what makes these talks so interesting to us. It’s the subtext—what an idea might grow into if you give it air.

Hidden Talents is a beginning for us: a way to get closer to people and, from that, build something that fits 99active. We want to show up as hosts who actually care what you love to do, what makes you you, and what you’d like to share with others.

We want to know who people are, what they’re drawn to, and why you might choose to spend an afternoon with them someday.

Hidden Talents Leipzig starts right here—with a first conversation about what people love to do, what’s already in them, and what can happen when someone really listens.
