What is a Moment?
A Moment on 99active is a one-time, real-world experience that brings people together at a specific place and time. Each Moment is singular and time-bound—it cannot be replayed or reproduced in the same way. Moments create activity and invite people to take part.
What is a Loop?
A Loop is a recurring experience that creates continuity. Loops unfold through repeating Moments—weekly or monthly. A Loop holds many Moments, but never repeats them. Every Moment within a Loop is singular and time-bound, even though the Loop continues.
How can I discover Moments and Loops?
Browse 99active to discover Moments and Loops happening in your city. You can filter by labels—like Outdoor, Creative, Craft, Repair, Reuse, Food, Reset, or Play—to find experiences that match your interests. When you find something you like, you can like it by clicking the heart icon.
How do I purchase tickets?
You need to create an account to purchase tickets on 99active. Once you have an account, find a Moment you want to join, click to purchase tickets, and pay with PayPal or your Credit/Debit Card. You'll receive a confirmation email with your ticket details.
How do I return a ticket?
To return a ticket, please send an email to our support team with your ticket details. Include your ticket number and IBAN for the refund. The refund will be your paid ticket price minus the 20% 99active service fee. Some Moments may have specific return deadlines set by the host.
How do I become a host?
Anyone can become a host on 99active. Create an account, then you can start creating Moments (one-time experiences) or Loops (recurring experiences). Whether you're teaching a skill, leading an activity, or sharing something you're passionate about, you can bring people together through shared experiences.
How do I get paid as a host?
We pay you right after a Moment has taken place. Your earnings will be transferred directly to your bank account via IBAN. The money usually arrives within 5-7 days.
How do I create a Loop?
To create a Loop, start with a title and description. Set your schedule—weekly or monthly—and specify the day and time when Moments will occur. Define the meeting point and duration. Each Loop creates a series of Moments based on your schedule. You can then create individual Moment drafts from your Loop schedule and publish them when ready.
How do I create a Moment?
To create a Moment, start by giving it a clear title and description. Specify when and where it will happen, set the duration, and choose a label that best describes it (Outdoor, Creative, Craft, Repair, Reuse, Food, Reset, or Play). Add details about what participants can expect, any materials they should bring, and set your ticket price and availability. Upload photos to help people discover your Moment. Once published, your Moment is immediately available for people to find and join.
What are labels?
Labels help you discover Moments that match your interests. There are eight labels: Outdoor, Creative, Craft, Repair, Reuse, Food, Reset, and Play. Each Moment has one primary label that describes its main character. You can filter Moments by label to find what interests you. Labels are signals, not strict boxes—they guide discovery.
How do I set up an account?
Setting up an account is easy. Sign up with your name, email address, and password. Your account gives you access to the ability to like Loops, Moments, and hosts, and ticket management. You need an account to purchase tickets on 99active.
Can I contact a host before purchasing a ticket?
Yes, absolutely. On any Moment page, you can click 'Contact Host' to send them a message. Hosts typically respond as soon as they can to answer any questions you might have about the Moment.
How many tickets can I buy at once?
You can purchase up to 5 tickets per order on 99active. Be sure to check the availability on the Moment page, as some Moments may have limited spaces available.
Is there a service fee when I purchase tickets?
Yes, there's a 20% ticket service fee, which is already included in the ticket price you see. We make sure there are no hidden fees at 99active, and you'll see this fee clearly on your invoice.
What happens if I can't attend a Moment I purchased tickets for?
If you can't attend a Moment, you can request a ticket return by sending an email to our support team with your ticket details and IBAN. The refund will be your paid ticket price minus the 20% 99active service fee. Some Moments may have specific return deadlines set by the host—check the Moment details for return policies.
Can I offer free Moments or Loops?
Yes, absolutely! You can offer Moments and Loops for free. When you create a Moment or Loop, you can set the ticket price to zero. Free Moments and Loops are a great way to share your time and skills with your community without any cost to participants.
Are there any fees for free Moments or Loops?
No. If your Moment or Loop is free, 99active is free too. We only take a 20% service fee when tickets are paid. For free Moments and Loops, there are no fees—you share your time, and we share our platform.
